After voting to impeach President Trump for ‘inciting an insurrection,’ Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski (pictured below) sees that Republican voters aren’t very happy with her vote. Senator Murkowski was quoted as saying, “I want him out” during the impeachment.
President Trump spoke out recently to say he would not be endorsing Republican incumbent Murkowski:
“She represents the state badly and her county even worse. I do not know where other people will be next year, but I know where I will be…in Alaska campaigning against a disloyal and very bad Senator.”
Could Murkowski be toast? It sure looks like it! Murkowski challenger Kelly Tshibaka (pictured below) is killing Murkowski in the polls.
GOP polling firm Cygnal found that Murkowski’s challenger Kelly Tshibaka was leading in an all-party primary, taking 33.6 percent of the vote, compared to Murkowski’s 18.8 percent. Republicans have bailed on Murkowski and are clearly turning their support to Tshibaka, Alaska’s Commissioner of Administration.
