The Washington Commanders selected quarterback Jayden Daniels in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.
Ending months of speculation about the team’s next move, the Commanders selected the Louisiana State University quarterback with the No. 2 pick. Coming off his fifth year in college, Daniels threw for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns with only four interceptions.

Daniels began his career at Arizona State University, where he played for three seasons before transferring to LSU. Over the course of his college career, he threw for 12,749 yards,
