U.S. Marks 21 Years Since 9/11 Terrorist Attacks

Americans across the country are remembering the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, 21 years ago. 

In New York City, the National September 11 Memorial and Museum hosted an annual ceremony commemorating and honoring the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. The Tribute in Light, NYC Fire Museum and Memorial Service, and Tunnel to Towers 9/11 Prayer Service are among the events that are taking place. 

“It was a terrorist attack against our country that day,” Jay Saloman, who lost his brother in the attacks, said on Sunday. “And, theoretically, everyone should remember it, and, you know, take precautions and watch out.”
