Tudor Dixon Wins Michigan Republican Gubernatorial Nomination, Will Face Gretchen Whitmer

Conservative political commentator Tudor Dixon has won the Republican nomination for governor in Michigan, according to Decision Desk HQ, setting up a November matchup with Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI).

According to reports at the time of publishing, Dixon had clinched enough to win the primary, hitting 70,000 votes with just 13% of the vote in and more than doubling the vote counts of any of her challengers. Dixon was recently endorsed by influential Republicans in the state and across the country, and just days before the Tuesday primary, former President Donald Trump also gave her his support.

Dixon comes out on top in a chaotic Michigan race that saw five candidates suspended from the ballot, including former Detroit Police Chief James Craig, after fraudulent signatures were found
