Police in Portugal on Tuesday resumed their search for missing British child Madeleine McCann, who disappeared from a resort in 2007.
Around 20 officers, using rakes and other digging tools, searched a patch of land near a dam about 30 miles from where McCann disappeared 16 years ago, the Associated Press reported. It is not clear if progress has been made in the search.
Portuguese police are leading the operation with help from German and British law enforcement. It began after German authorities made a request. This is the fourth such search for McCann, following the initial search after her disappearance in 2007 and additional searches in 2013 and 2014.
