Earlier in May, 98-year-old World War II veteran John Bernard Arnold III of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, passed away.

At the time of his passing, Arnold had never married and had no known living relatives.
After a local veterans group learned of Arnold’s passing and discovered he had no living relatives, it issued a public invitation for the East Bridgewater community to attend his funeral.
