Vice President Mike Pence discussed the U.S. response to the coronavirus in an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller on Thursday, saying he was proud of the administration’s efforts.
Pence’s comments come one day after a media firestorm sparked by President Donald Trump’s comments to Washington Post Columnist bob Woodward, to whom he admitted downplaying the severity of COVID-19. Pence argues Trump’s action on banning travel from China and later Europe, as well as his partnering with the private sector saved lives.
