Stefanik ‘honored’ to be considered for Trump’s running mate: ‘A lot of names in the mix’

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) says she is “honored” to be among those considered for former President Donald Trump‘s running mate in November.

Stefanik was one of the potential vice presidential picks who was at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Resort for a donor retreat Saturday, alongside Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) to Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), among others. The House Republican Conference chairwoman said on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures that she is happy to be “in the mix” alongside other Republicans to be Trump’s running mate.

“We had a lot of great members there. What really came out across to me, Maria, was how unified the Republican Party is and how many rising stars we have,” Stefanik said.
