Celebrations For Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Announced, Include Pudding Competition, Parades, And Concerts


Buckingham Palace has announced the full schedule of celebrations planned to mark the Queen’s upcoming Platinum Jubilee. This will be the first time in history a British monarch has reigned for 70 years.

“There will be year-long Platinum Jubilee celebrations throughout the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world as communities come together to celebrate The Queen’s historic reign,” Buckingham Palace announced.

“Events and initiatives” will take place throughout the year, and will culminate in a four day public holiday from Thursday June 2 to Sunday June 5, providing “an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate the historic milestone.”
