XRP Ledger Adds Stripe-Tempo Machine Payments for AI Agents

RippleX has moved the XRP Ledger deeper into the emerging market for payments made by software, not people.

Version 1.1 of the XRPL AI Starter Kit adds support for the Machine Payments Protocol, or MPP, developed by Stripe and Tempo. It also connects XRPL to the Open Wallet Standard, a common layer designed to let autonomous software work with wallets across multiple blockchains.

The practical pitch is simple: an AI agent that needs data, computing power or another online service can receive a price, authorize a payment and get the resource without stopping for a conventional checkout flow.
