Gov. Wes Moore (D-MD) became possibly the first Democratic politician in history to admit that Democrats have a “results” problem, not a “messaging” problem. And then, he set out to prove himself right.
Maryland has canceled a construction contract for its rebuilding project of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The rebuilding project has already surged from $1.8 billion to $5.2 billion, and this new setback will push the rebuilding completion deeper into the future. This means the rebuild is currently frozen just before the actual rebuilding part of the project, which Moore promised would be finished by 2028.
The signs were everywhere that the bridge rebuild would be burdensome in Democrat-run Maryland.
