World Economic Forum pulls Davos invitation from Iran amid deadly protests


The World Economic Forum has revoked Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s invitation to its annual summit in Davos, Switzerland, this week as the Islamic regime continues massacring thousands of civilians.

Iran’s presence at the meeting of global bodies was previously expected until the summit’s organizers announced otherwise.

“The Iranian Foreign Minister will not be attending Davos,” the WEF posted on X early Monday morning. “Although he was invited last fall, the tragic loss of lives of civilians in Iran over the past few weeks means that it is not right for the Iranian government to be represented at Davos this year.”

The international organization faced calls to pull Iran’s invitation at the last minute. Araghchi was previously scheduled for an interview on Tuesday.
