Rep. Steve Womack has announced his wife, Terri Womack, has died at the age of 68.

Rep. Womack was married to his wife for over 40 years at the time of her passing.

Rep. Steve Womack is mourning the death of his 68-year-old wife, Terri, after more than four decades of marriage.

The Arkansas Republican said Tuesday that Terri Lynn Williams Womack died Sunday following a brief illness.

“Heaven welcomed an angel,” Womack wrote in a social media post, saying his wife “went to live in eternity with Jesus.”
