A House Left Open Does Not Stay Empty

A man drives through the neighborhood where he grew up and sees an old neighbor’s house up for sale. He knows a lot of work is needed to fix up the house after years of neglect; the fence sags, boards rot, and gaps invite anything willing to crawl inside.
