The Independent Women’s Forum is celebrating its 19th annual awards gala on Thursday night at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C., where White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles is set to receive the prestigious Barbara K. Olson “Women of Valor” award.
This event honors trailblazing women who have demonstrated extraordinary courage, conviction, and a lasting impact on American public life.
Wiles, a seasoned political strategist and President Donald Trump’s right-hand woman, is reportedly being recognized for her historic appointment as the first female White House Chief of Staff and her pivotal role in overseeing the execution of President Trump’s administrative agenda.
“Susie Wiles is truly an inspiration. A powerhouse of getting work done. A force for making America’s future days bright. Wiles was instrumental in securing President Trump’s victory and continues to keep the administration laser-focused on delivering results. Her impact is enormous—even if she rarely seeks the credit—and that’s exactly why it’s so meaningful to honor her,” said Carrie Lukas, president of the nonprofit organization, Independent Women.
The award, established in memory of the esteemed attorney and political commentator who perished in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, is bestowed annually upon women who exemplify exceptional strength and leadership in the face of adversity.
The honor is deeply rooted in the Jewish tradition of Eshet Chayil, a concept that the Milwaukee Jewish Federation notes celebrates female leaders who lead with distinct purpose, integrity, and heart.
Meanwhile, Wiles joins an elite group of past recipients that includes figures such as Condoleezza Rice, Nikki Haley, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and Maria Bartiromo.
Beyond this centerpiece presentation, the 2026 Awards Gala will further recognize a diverse cohort of political stakeholders, policy experts, business executives, and media trailblazers from across the country for their contributions to the national discourse.
