Tucker Carlson’s latest interview with Telegram founder Pavel Durov seems to have gripped the online world and revealed even more government malfeasance in the big tech sector.
Durov alleges that the U.S. government attempted to co-opt Telegram into being a censorship agent of the state, and even went so far as to try to install a backdoor into the social media platform.
The tech entrepreneur claims this was done by government agents approaching a Telegram engineer and attempting to hire him out to set up a backdoor inside the company’s core code.
Despite all this, Telegram has managed to stay a hub of free speech, and that’s why Tucker Carlson made his recent announcement.
