Vice President Kamala Harris took to X, formerly Twitter, on Monday night to post a video criticizing former President Donald Trump about abortion. Harris blamed Trump for the recent court rulings around the country that restricted the procedure.
“During his campaign in 2016, Donald Trump said, ‘women should be punished for seeking an abortion,’” Harris said in the video clip. “Don’t forget that, he said, ‘women should be punished.’”
Harris continued her criticisms by highlighting that Trump’s three nominations to the Supreme Court, Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett, voted to overturn Roe v. Wade in June 2022.
“As president, Donald Trump hand-picked three members of the United States Supreme Court because he intended – intended for them to overturn Roe,”
