United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) announced another strike on an alleged drug-smuggling boat in the eastern Pacific Ocean, killing three suspected narco-terrorists.
On Friday, SOUTHCOM released unclassified video footage of the strike, announcing that General Francis L. Donovan had directed Joint Task Force Southern Spear to conduct “a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations.”

The brief video showed a vessel floating in deep blue waters before erupting into flames and smoke.
“Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations. Three male narco-terrorists were killed during this action,” the command stated on X. “No U.S. military forces were harmed. SOUTHCOM is unwavering in its commitment to applying total systemic friction on the cartels.”
Operation Southern Spear, the Trump administration’s military campaign against drug traffickers smuggling drugs into the U.S. from overseas, has killed about 200 people on roughly 60 boats in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific since September, according to The Hill.
Two other strikes in the eastern Pacific were announced on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. On Tuesday, one person was killed, leaving two survivors. On Wednesday, two men were killed, according to CBS News.
