Trump trial: Stormy Daniels expected to take the witness stand


Pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels is expected to testify at the New York criminal hush money trial against former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, according to her attorney.

Trump has been charged with falsifying business records in 2016 to cover up hush money payments to Daniels, who contends she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006. Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts and denies the affair with Daniels ever occurred.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, will “likely” take the stand at some point on Tuesday, her attorney Clark Brewster first told the Associated Press. Her testimony follow former Trump Organization officials who testified Monday about how ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen was reimbursed for the $130,000 payment to Daniels.
