Trump says US military will remain ‘in, and around, Iran’ until ‘real agreement’ is reached

President Donald Trump said that all United States military forces currently deployed in the Persian Gulf due to Operation Epic Fury will remain in the area until a “real agreement” is reached between the U.S. and Iran. Trump announced the decision in a social media post on his Truth Social account late Wednesday night.  

“All U.S. Ships, Aircraft, and Military Personnel, with additional Ammunition, Weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded Enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with,” Trump said in his post.
