President Donald Trump claimed that 10 dumpsters of garbage were removed from the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool during a Wednesday afternoon Cabinet meeting.
“We cleaned it. We fumigated it” Trump said of the Lincoln Memorial. “We had 10 major truck dumpsters of garbage taken out. Can you believe it?”

He also claimed the reflecting pool “was disgusting.
“They had massive amounts of garbage,” he said. “We then steam cleaned it, we then sandblasted it, and then we pebble blasted. It’s a bigger version of sand.”
The president blamed his predecessors for not doing enough to renovate the reflecting pool and wasting lots of money to fix the problem.
“The Biden administration and the Obama administration spent hundreds of millions of dollars trying to get it to work, and they failed,” Trump said.
According to Trump, the renovations of the reflecting pool were supposed to cost $400 million.
