Trump rejoices after Stephen Colbert’s last show

President Donald Trump on Friday celebrated the death of Stephen Colbert’s late-night show, after years of trashing the comedian. 

After 11 years of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Colbert hosted his last episode, titled “Hello, Goodbye,” on Thursday evening. The president weighed in shortly after it wrapped, hailing the end of the Late Show franchise.

“Colbert is finally finished at CBS,” Trump wrote in a post to Truth Social. “Amazing that he lasted so long!”

“No talent, no ratings, no life,” he continued. “He was like a dead person. You could take any person off of the street and they would be better than this total jerk. Thank goodness he’s finally gone!”

In a follow-up post, Trump wrote a veiled threat aimed at other late-night hosts.

“Stephen Colbert’s firing from CBS was the “Beginning of the End” for untalented, nasty, highly overpaid, not funny, and very poorly rated Late Night Television Hosts.
