President Donald Trump announced that he is in the Situation Room at the White House to make a final decision on a peace deal with Iran after weeks of a tentative ceasefire.

Posting to his Truth Social platform on Friday morning, the president reaffirmed the United States’ stance that “Iran must agree that they will never have a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb,” adding that the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial waterway for exporting oil and gas, must be open immediately without tolls or restrictions.

“All water mines (bombs), if any, will be terminated (we have removed, through detonation, numerous such mines with our great underwater mine sweepers. Iran will complete the immediate removal and/or detonation of any mines that are left, which will not be many!),” Trump outlined. “Ships caught in the Strait due to our amazing and unprecedented Naval Blockade, which will now be lifted, may start the process of ‘heading home!’”

“Say HELLO to your wives, husbands, parents, and families from me, your favorite President!” he added.

Trump also firmly maintained that Iran must surrender its stores of highly enriched uranium to ensure compliance with America’s policy against its nuclear program. Iran repeatedly claimed that its uranium enrichment program was for civilian purposes only, though reports showed that it enriched its material far past the 20% maximum needed for medical and other innocuous uses, reaching the weapons-grade levels of about 60%.

He explained that the “Nuclear Dust,” which is buried underground, “will be unearthed by the United States (which, it is agreed, is the only Country, along with China, with the mechanical capability of doing so!), in close coordination and conjunction with the Islamic Republic of Iran, plus the International Atomic Energy Agency.” This material will be “DESTROYED,” he said.

“No money will be exchanged, until further notice. Other items, of far less importance, have been agreed to,” Trump stated. “I will be meeting now, in the Situation Room, to make a final determination.”

Axios reported on Thursday that the most recent draft of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), which awaits Trump’s final approval, included the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and a 60-day ceasefire extension to allow for further discussion on Iran’s nuclear plan, which was a point of contention long before the U.S. struck Tehran on February 28th, killing Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The ceasefire has proven to be delicate as reports continue to surface of strikes in the Middle East. On Friday, Central Command (CENTCOM) shut down claims from Iranian state television that Iran shot down an American aircraft in the region.
