President Donald Trump made multiple late-night social media posts on Tuesday morning about Greenland and other foreign affairs ahead of his visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
After posting what appeared to be a text message from French President Emmanuel Macron, Trump followed up with several other posts related to the tense geopolitical situation involving Greenland. This included a summary by Trump of a phone conversation he had with Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte, a fictitious image of himself and Cabinet members holding a United States flag in Greenland, a fictitious image in the Oval Office of Trump speaking to European leaders while a map of the U.S., Canada, Greenland, and Venezuela covered with the U.S. flag is displayed, among other posts.
