President Donald Trump underwent an annual dental and physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, according to the White House.
The Tuesday appointment will be the president’s first in-person visit to the doctor since April 2025, NBC News reported.
Turning 80 next month, Trump is the oldest person to assume the presidency in the U.S., beating former President Joe Biden by five months, comparing their ages at their 2021 and 2025 inaugurations.
Last year, President Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition common in older adults that makes it difficult for blood to travel to his heart from his legs. Roughly 20% of adults in the U.S. are affected by the affliction. He has previously worn compression socks as part of his regimen, though he said he did not like them and stopped wearing them.
Trump attributed visible bruises on his hands to aspirin he takes to treat the condition by thinning his blood. He also admitted to covering them with makeup, though speculation still swirls about other possible conditions.
Walter Reed is about 10 miles north of the White House, in Bethesda, Maryland.
