President Trump is bringing some of the biggest names in crypto to the White House next week, but the meeting comes at a moment when Washington’s long-promised market-structure bill is running out of road.
Executives from Coinbase, Ripple and other industry leaders are expected to meet with the president on August 19 to discuss the CLARITY Act and the shrinking path to getting it through Congress this year.
According to CryptoSlate, the gathering lands after Galaxy Digital cut its estimate for passage in 2026 to just 10%. Traders on Polymarket were somewhat less pessimistic, putting the odds near 19%, but both numbers tell the same story: confidence has fallen hard.
