Seven-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady made his thoughts crystal clear when he blasted the NFL for suspending his teammate, wide receiver Mike Evans, for one game following a fight during Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.
During the 45-year-old quarterback’s “Let’s Go” podcast Monday, Brady slammed the league for the punishment. Evans got into a scuffle with Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore, and both were ejected. Brady claimed all Evans did was have his teammate’s back.
“I don’t think it deserved any type of suspension,” the Buccaneers star explained. “I think that’s ridiculous.”
“You know, in the end, I appreciate Mike having my back,” he added. “I know he’ll learn from it. And he knows that we all have his back.”
