Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) believes former President Donald Trump will publicly announce his running mate within the next two months.
The South Carolina senator, who unsuccessfully ran for the GOP’s presidential nomination, said on Meet The Press that he believes the former president will ultimately make the announcement in about 60 days, which would be in early July. The Republican National Convention is slated to begin on July 15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
“We’ll be making that decision, I think, closer to Wisconsin time, if you want to know the truth,” Trump told a local Fox affiliate in Wisconsin earlier this week. “It’s very early right now.”
