Sui hit two serious mainnet disruptions across consecutive days this week, and the second one stopped the network from accepting user transactions entirely.
On May 29, 2026, Sui said mainnet stalled during an epoch change beginning around 1:30 p.m. Pacific.

Validators stayed up and kept creating system transactions, but user transactions stopped flowing.
This came one day after a separate incident on May 28 that the chain’s own status page tracked from investigation through a validator fix.
