An 8-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother died after they apparently became trapped in an unused fridge during a tragic game of hide and seek.
The kids, Saori Guevara Tiller and her younger brother Darien, apparently suffocated in the massive appliance while they were playing at their family’s home in Vista Hermosa, Colombia, on Saturday, local outlet El Tiempo reported .
The children’s parents admitted leaving them home alone for 20 minutes so they could grab groceries, and said the lid must have clamped shut while the siblings were playing.
