
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) urged Democrats to “let it rip” and sharpen their message Wednesday at Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network convention, while leaving the door open to a potential presidential run.
Speaking during an onstage interview with Sharpton, Khanna was pressed on whether he would consider a White House bid in 2028. Khanna did not rule it out, instead outlining what he described as a forward-looking economic and political vision.
“I believe I offer two things for why I will consider it to America. One is, I represent the economic future… And secondly, I fundamentally believe… that we need to move beyond a colonial model of the world,” he said.
He added, “Maybe I have something to offer and contribute with humility to our nation at this moment.”
