While New York’s streets and subway stations flood because Democrats refuse to fix basic drainage and aging infrastructure, Zohran Mamdani is pouring untold public treasure into welfare expansion and ideological vanity projects—including a staggering $54 million “Office of Mass Engagement.” City government has abandoned its most basic obligations in favor of a bloated, quasi-communist patronage machine: billions for dependency, bureaucrats and political organizing, but excuses when the drains fail, the streets become rivers and commuters are trapped underground. New Yorkers are being taxed into oblivion to finance the revolution while the city itself literally sinks.
