In Los Angeles, a candidate must receive more than 50% of the vote to win.

So far, no candidate has reached that threshold, setting the stage for a runoff election.
Current Democrat mayor Karen Bass has already secured a spot in the future run-off after securing 34% of the vote.

In a close second is Independent Spencer Pratt at 30.4%, and in third place is Progressive Nithya Raman at 22.3%.
