Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison blasts Trump for subpoena from DOJ


Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison blasted President Donald Trump and his administration on Tuesday for the subpoena he received from the Department of Justice. Ellison slammed the move, calling it “highly irregular” and inferring it was politically motivated.

He posted his response to the subpoena on his social media accounts on Tuesday and said they were related to his office’s work on federal immigration enforcement. 

“Less than two weeks ago, federal agents shot and killed a Minnesotan in broad daylight,” said Ellison. “Now, instead of seriously investigating the killing of Renee Good, Trump is weaponizing the justice system against any leader who dares stand up to him.”
