
Star Wars actor Mark Hamill posted a photo depicting President Donald Trump dead, including the text “if only,” just weeks after the third assassination attempt against Trump in two years.
The since-deleted photo, posted to BlueSky on Wednesday, shows Trump lying in front of a gravesite. While the post suggests Hamill wants Trump dead, the caption shows the actor wants Trump to stay alive to be “held accountable.”
“He should live long enough to witness the inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached & humiliated for his countless crimes,” he said. “Long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore.”
Hamill deleted the photo after receiving a wave of backlash, including from the White House, which characterized the actor as a “sick individual.”
