Lizzo Changes Lyrics After Backlash Over ‘Ableist Slur,’ Internet Reacts


Lizzo recently announced she was changing the words to her new song “GRRRLS” after coming under fire for using an “ableist slur” in the lyrics.

“It’s been brought to my attention that there is a harmful word in my new song ‘GRRRLS,’” the 34-year-old singer shared in a Twitter update. “Let me make one thing clear: I never want to promote derogatory language.”
