Justice Department Announces Arrest Of Former Army Employee For Allegedly Leaking “Classified National Defense Information”


The Justice Department announced the arrest of a former Army employee for her “alleged transmission of classified national defense information to individuals not authorized to receive it.”

The FBI arrested Courtney Williams, 40, of Wagram, North Carolina.

Williams allegedly leaked classified information to a journalist.

Courtney Williams worked in a Special Military Unit from 2010 to 2016 and had top secret clearance with access to a significant amount of classified material, charging documents say.
