There are some phrases that get used way too frequently (in my opinion) by the so-called Alt Media.
I don’t think we’re “Alt” at all, I think we’re mainstream.
But you get what I mean.
Anyway, some of those phrases are:
“So and So DUNKS ON So and So”
“So and So BREAKS HIS SILENCE”
And….
“So and So Says The Quiet Part Outloud”
I find most of those phrases drastically overused and a bit obnoxious.
No, no one “dunked on” anyone just because they had a slightly pointed comment. Shaq is not here, calm down.
No, no one “broke their silence”, just because they haven’t been written about since a few hours ago. They’re not monks taking a vow of silence, they just didn’t
