The Netheralnd’s choice is especially jarring in a country where Dutch collaboration helped the Nazis hunt and deport Jews, and more than 90 percent of Dutch Jews were murdered. The Netherlands should know the danger of singling out Jews. Yet its government has chosen to make Jewish communities in their ancestral homeland the target of a trade ban.
The Netherlands implemented a law banning all goods from Jewish businesses in Judea and Samaria. Violators found guilty of this bigoted law will face six years in prison. Israel has responded to this decision in kind. They have revoked the credentials of all Dutch diplomats in Judea and Samaria. The days of Europe attacking Israel with impunity are over.
