Here’s Why Alveda King Just Compared President Trump To Her Uncle MLK Jr.

His complicated personal life notwithstanding, few self-proclaimed men of God have made a bigger impact on the nation than the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

And while many others in the civil rights movement have been compared to him over the decades since he was assassinated, King’s niece thinks there’s someone else who shares some of her uncle’s positive attributes.

Alveda King shared her remarks in an interview conducted during this weekend’s Rededicate 250 event in DC, as Fox News reported:

“This nation was founded on godly principles,” Alveda King said, adding that her uncle, Martin Luther King Jr., “spoke to a crowd like this in 1963.”
