Rep. Nancy Mace is introducing a proposed resolution to hold members of Congress — and certain other elected or appointed federal officials — to the same Constitutional standard as the President and VP.
In short, the joint resolution would bar anyone not actually born on US soil from holding those positions.
If Rep. Ilhan Omar immediately comes to mind, that’s essentially who Mace singled out when she introduced her proposal.
