House GOP lawmakers have introduced a new border bill after Speaker Mike Johnson’s position was threatened this week.
Obviously, the bill is an attempt to pacify members of the Freedom Caucus and other hardline conservatives who have taken a staunch stance on the border.
Hopefully, the provisions laid out in the bill will help to mitigate the ongoing crisis at the border.

However, when people are essentially told to come over here and the head of the DHS does absolutely nothing to stem the millions of people illegally crossing, there are deeper problems than infrastructure.
Make no mistake, those things help, but this crisis goes all the way up to the top. Call me cynical, but a meaningful change won’t come until the current administration
