Burning barricades in Zurich. Looted shops in Germany. Police attacked in Paris, where soldiers have been deployed to guard synagogues and churches.

Europe’s leaders have betrayed their people. Burning streets, looted businesses and police under attack expose a failure far deeper than public disorder: the collapse of the authority that holds a society together. Let mobs dictate who can worship, speak or live safely, and equal citizenship becomes a relic of a once glorious past.

The choice narrows to mob rule or a demand for order at any cost with ordinary citizens losing their freedom either way. This does not have to be America’s fate, the Democrats are doing the same thing here. Vote Republican Tuesday.
