DOJ Moves to Denaturalize 12 Foreign-Born US Citizens

The Department of Justice announced it has filed denaturalization actions against 12 people accused of offenses including providing material support to a terrorist group, committing war crimes, and sexually abusing a minor.
Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, a naturalized U.S. citizen’s citizenship may be revoked, and the certificate of naturalization canceled, if the naturalization was illegally procured or procured by concealment of a material fact or by willful misrepresentation.
The 12 are accused of a range of offenses from lying under oath to the sexual abuse of a child:
