CRIPPLING BIAS: FCC should scrap ABC’s TV licenses


It’s national suicide to continue this way. This trajectory is unsustainable. A nation cannot survive when one ideological narrative dominates nearly every major institution of information and culture.

There was a time when America recognized the danger. The Fairness Doctrine, in place from 1949 until its repeal in 1987, required licensed broadcasters to present controversial issues of public importance in a balanced manner. It was abolished on the grounds that it infringed on broadcasters’ free speech rights.

Nearly four decades later, the pendulum has swung to the opposite extreme. Instead of diversity of viewpoints, Americans are inundated with ideological uniformity, selective reporting, and political activism masquerading as journalism.
