Bitcoin is entering the final stretch of the third quarter with a gain of more than 40%, but one nearby price level could decide whether that strength carries into October.

The market’s immediate test sits around $82,500. Bitcoin briefly fell to $82,557 after posting its highest weekly close since late January, according to a Cointelegraph market review.

That leaves Bitcoin caught between an unusually strong quarter and a crowded set of resistance levels overhead. The quarter is on track to be its best third-quarter performance since 2017, yet the yearly open and the cost basis of spot ETF investors both remain above the current market.
