Bitcoin Holds Near $78,000 as Stocks Fall and Treasury Yields Hit 5%

Bitcoin is doing something worth watching: it is holding near $78,000 even as the pressure around it gets heavier.

CoinDesk reported that Bitcoin managed a modest gain near $78,000 while U.S. stocks fell, oil climbed and the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield reached 5%, putting crypto’s relative strength against several major markets on display.

That combination is normally hostile territory for risk assets because it raises funding costs and gives investors a more competitive return in government debt. Higher long-term yields can also strengthen the dollar, compress stock valuations and reduce demand for leveraged speculative positions across the crypto market.
