Bitcoin Holds Above $77,000 After Bank of Japan Raises Rates Again

Bitcoin held above $77,000 after the Bank of Japan delivered another interest-rate increase, absorbing a move that has often made global risk markets nervous.

Associated Press reports that Japan’s central bank raised its benchmark rate by 25 basis points to 1.25%, the highest level in 31 years. The unanimous decision followed a two-day policy meeting and extended Japan’s move away from decades of unusually low borrowing costs.
