President Joe Biden promised that the United States would keep working with the international community to help refugees through means such as resettlement on World Refugee Day.
Biden pledged that the U.S. will collaborate with foreign and domestic partners to ensure that refugees stateside “have access to the life-saving assistance they deserve, including healthcare and shelter, and opportunities to pursue livelihoods and education that allow them to rebuild their lives.”

“We will also continue to support vulnerable refugee populations, such as women, children, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTQI+) persons, and persons with disabilities,” he said Monday in a statement.
