The law firm representing Mayor Tiffany Henyard of Dolton, Illinois, has asked to withdraw from cases involving her in the middle of numerous legal challenges involving the embattled mayor.
In a letter to Henyard and the village trustees, the Del Galdo Law Group said Henyard had not paid the law firm for its work and that the village may be uninsurable with millions of dollars in judgments against it. Henyard is the subject of 22 lawsuits so far.
Former employees, town residents, and others involved have levied numerous complaints against Henyard since she was elected mayor.
